One ship drives east, and another west
With the self-same winds that blow:
'Tis the set of the sails
And not the gales,
Which decides the way to go.
Like the winds of the sea are the ways
of fate:
As the voyage along through life;
'Tis the will of the soul
That decides the goal,
The ship's banner says, "Foreign Missions."
And not the calm or the strife.

Beautiful -- there she is --Our Morning Star and Our Star of the Sea! Thankyou, Micki, for this treasure of a holy card!

Star of the Sea... one of my favorite Marian titles. As St. Bernard of Clairvaux wrote, "Look to the Star! Call Mary!" If we do this we will NEVER be lost for she will always lead us to safe harbor, and that harbor is Christ.
I love this Holy Card Micki.
Thank You
Friends,
Here is a translation from the French ...

Fr. Scott - Oh boy, I love the quote you wrote. I am going to use that for my next "Star of the Sea." Thanks.
Ed - Your welcome Ed. We are blessed to have such a mother.
John - Once again, thank you. You always come to the rescue. I added the Father-Son video to my Misc. blog available through the "About Me" page. It touched me so deeply.
Micki, Fr. Mark at Vultus Christi posted the entire text. You can find it here:
