Pain..........June 12

"Pain that is not offered up is wasted pain."

Bishop Sheen

I believe that the German words mean this:
"Suffer patiently, and your bed of pain will give you joy and bliss."

Thankyou for this most beautiful card--I am making a copy to send to my elderly mother who has been sick for weeks. I know that this holy card will bring her much comfort.
The saying of Bishop Sheen is so right!

Friends,

I believe that the German words mean this:
"Suffer patiently, and your bed of pain will give you joy and bliss."

Micki, feel free to copy my translations to the main page of the blog, but I'd feel better if you didn't mention my name there. I don't want any credit. I didn't write any of the original words, and it is fun (not real "work") for me to translate.

God be with you.

Hello dearest Micki,

Being here sure is wonderful! I have been actively working on the project I mentioned to you, the reason why I have not been visiting.

What a beautiful card! It is a reminder to all of us of the grace God has to offer when we offer up our pain to him. He truly is amazing! This also reminds me to offer my pain to him caused by a tennis injury. I am truly thankful!

Lots of hugs to you, dearest Micki! And greetings to all.

John, what a joy to read your translations!

p.s. Micki, check out my blog for priests. I am featuring Fr. Sousa for Father's Day. :-)

Diane - I will pray that your mother might be comforted by these words and picture.

John - OK, I do hope that everyone will know that the words, translations, in red, come from you. You are an important addition to the showing of these cards. Thank you and God bless you always.

Easter - You are most definitely in my thoughts for your projects.
I particularly love what you have done for Fr. Sousa. I have his picture right here next to my computer and pray for him daily.
The people of Maryland are blessed to have such a loving priest in their lives. I send my guardian angel to give him a special hug.
You deserve special blessings for all you do too.

You send your guardian angel to Fr. Sousa to give him a hug? My, that is fabulous, Micki! I send my angel to check on my kids when they are quiet... ha ha ha... you know what I mean. Thank you for sharing this beautiful touch of love you give to priests! I will use that too! :-)

And lots of hugs to you, dear lady! And lots of love too. :-)

That is a beautiful card! If only we could picture that image in our minds in the midst of our sufferings.

Sweet Micki,
I fell in love with this card when I saw it up...I was not able to comment that day. But the quote you added by Bishop Sheen fits that card perfect...it truly has blessed me with a renewing hope...
Love you...hugs,
Prayerflowers

Easter - I have to smile when I see you sending your angel to your children. Not only does mom have "eyes in the back of her head" she also has angels helping her. Too funny and too true.

Paramedicgirl - I think it's good to be reminded when we are healthy. It's hard to tell someone suffering to "offer it up."

Prayerflowers - You amaze me. I have enjoyed your new Mary's Garden page. You also give us such inspiration...your cheerful personality amid physical pain just makes me beg God for your healing. Know that we are all storming heaven for you. Hugs.
