IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

Dear Anonymous,
Some scholars believe that St. Patrick was Scottish.

Thanks for honoring St. Patrick on his special day. I'm sure most people don't know that St. Patrick was not Irish and assume he was. It seems that the whole world has embraced the fun of this day, especially will all the creative wearing of the green in outrageous, but fun ways. I wonder if they ever condsider his holiness or even know his story. Let's hope he leads us all on the path of holiness.
Best wishes to all for a Happy St. Patrick's DAy!
A Blessed St. Patrick's Day to you, Micki! Many Blessings for your work here, as always. I may not always post, but I do enjoy them via the FOLLOWERS list on my dashboard.
A joyous St. Patrick's Day, Micki! Thankyou for sharing your wonderful holy cards with us each day!

Hi Micki,
Beautiful picture...I love the Breastplate prayer.
Micki...I just today noticed the comments you left on my blog. I had turned the moderator on and somehow thought I would be sent an email, so please forgive me for not responding sooner.

Wouldn't it be amazing if we could actually truly live that prayer??!! Thanks for that reminder! Beautiful!
I hope everyone had a Blessed St. Patrick's Day! John K.
Hello Everyone,
What a joy to find all your best wishes and comments on this day of celebration. Our church is on day 3 of a 4 day Mission. Our Irish Bishop spoke on Reconciliation and then 12 priests were available for Confession. So to celebrate a wonderful sacrament it was only fitting to go out for a glass of green beer. So, just having arrived home I want to wish you all a happy and blessed St. Patrick's Day. Thank you also for all your best wishes. Only one and a half hours to think "green."
