I don't know if you know this or not, Micki, but traditionally Tuesday is a day dedicated to the Holy Face of Jesus, so what a beautiful day for you to share this treasured portrayal of the Holy Face of Jesus. Thankyou so much!

Yes, Diane. I think that an artist has taken the face ("Vultus") of the "Man of the Shroud" and added color, etc., to make us feel as though we are truly seeing Our Lord Jesus Christ ("D. N. Iesu Christi"). Very moving!

Yes... to Diane and John.

Micki, I'm curious. Are you the artist?

Diane - No, I didn't know about Tuesday's being dedicated to the Holy Face of Jesus. I guess He just let me be His pencil...or make that His computer :-)
Thanks for teaching me something new.

John - This picture always makes me sad. Maybe the added color just brings it too much to life.

aspiring f.o.o.L - No way, I can't paint, color, or draw a straight line. Thank you for thinking I could.

Micki, hi, Yes, I believe you have both art and artistic talent in you! Lots of it. In this case, I thought you might have applied the coloring to the image using your photo program to produce that effect that John described.

I plan to come back and spend time with this image in prayer in the days before Easter - simply because it is so lifelike as you and John said. I didn't notice just how much until I read your comments.

I am thankful now, as I am thankful each visit, that you're here. God bless you, Micki.
