Hands of a Priest..........July 9

Meditation of St. Francis of Assisi

Let everyone be struck with fear,
the whole world tremble,
and the heavens exult
when Christ, the Son of the living God,
is present on the altar in the hands of a priest!
O wonderful loftiness
and stupendous dignity!
O sublime humility

Such beautiful words of St. Francis of Assisi!

Micki, how wonderful it is to be here! How I've missed visiting your awesome blog, but you know what keeps me busy...

Eucharist. Much is to be said about it, but to make it a commitment to encounter Christ daily or frequently by being present and being a part in its celebration is beyond words. Adoration is much the same way.

Thank you, dearest Micki! This is a place I call in the cyberspace "home."

Much love to you and all,
Easter:-)

The holy card and meditation took my breath away. Figuratively and literally. So MUCH of our faith is simply beyond words, as Easter talked about. This meditation is on the brink of that abyss of wordlessness - you can just about 'see' the unspeakable majesty and power of God blast through these words. Also, like Easter, I call this place in cyberspace 'home,' too! In Jesus, AspiringFOOL(FriendofOurLord)

I've never encountered this meditation in the works of St. Francis. Where does it come from?

Easter - I hope your project is not keeping you too busy. For one thing, this "home" always enjoys opening the door for you. Sweet blessings for you and yours.

Prayerflowers - You are such a special friend and I, for one, enjoy just knowing that you can be inspired coming here. Special prayers coming your way via my angel.

Aspiring FOOL - The door on this "home" is always open for you.
Your words bring inspiration also. Thank you.

Irene - I've posted over 600 holy cards with quotes etc. I've searched days, weeks, months in a million different places to find them. I'm not able to answer your question.
