St. Joseph, because of the

today is the day to start.
IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

How thoughtful you are, Micki, to mention that point about the Solemnity of St. Joseph (usually March 19, but transferred to March 15 this year)!
The Solemnity of the Annunciation (usually March 24) will be transferred to March 31 this year.
Uh-oh! I have a second calendar that says:
March 31 = St. Joseph
April 1 = Annunciation
We'll have to find out which is correct.

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' Internet site has a calendar showing the March 15/March 31 combination to be the correct one.

Yes, thank you dear Micki! That was really thougtful of you! And I find this picture fascinating. Thank you for sharing it with us, dear Micki!
That was very thoughtful of you to check, John! Thanks! Yes, you are right: March 15, St. Joseph and March 31, Annunciation.
Micki, I always love the holy cards you post showing the angels.
Dear Lord and Dear Lady, please sent us your angels to surround us and protect us from all that is evil.
John and Easter....How's this. My Catholic calendar says March 31 St. Joseph, April 1 Annunciation. The Church did change (just for this year) St. Joseph to March 15th and St. Patrick to March 14th. Now here's another topic for thought...St. Joan of Arc is supposed to be May 30th, however the poor dear is not even on the calendar this year.
Ed - Oh yes, Samson and Zona are going to be busy keeping us in line.
Oh my Micki! That is a no-no to my husband. She is my husband's patron saint!
Thanks Micki!
Sorry to be posting late again, Micki. I just want to say that I absolutely love this card, it's so majestic. Thank you.
Best Regards, Lynneda
Easter - How lucky is he? Wow...what a saint to have. He will now have to brish up on his French. Wonder if he will speak it with a Hawaiian accent?
Lynneda - You are going to have to slow down, you have too many "favorites." hahaha
