He Is Gone, Holy Saturday and Easter Vigil

Jesus, Your Mother was broken-hearted at the sight of Your dead Body. How difficult to spend this day knowing only that Your body is in the tomb. How lovingly she gave You up to die for me! I belong to You. May I be with You forever.

We don't know what tomorrow brings.

This is the most incredible card and I have loved it from the first time I ever saw it. It captures so poignantly and powerfully the immense sadness of Mary and the compassion of the disciples who were also surely stunned and devastated and not understanding what was going on.

It also sort of reminds me of my mom when my dad
died. It's amazing how some artists manage to capture the spirit and emotion and make it come alive to the viewer.

I also want to wish everyone who visits your blog a really happy and blessed Easter. We are so fortunate to have the gift of faith. And I must admit I'm looking forward to posting happier cards again:-)

Looking upon this holy card, I immediately want to go and hold my heavenly Mother and tell her my grief as my sins helped to bring those tears to her eyes --each day I must try to keep from bringing even a speck of a tear to her eyes.
Micki, I love your comment--we don't know what each next day will bring--sometimes one can feel in the depths of despair and the next day something happens that changes everything!

Kay - Yes, the death of our human loved ones always comes to mind when we contemplate Mary's loss.

Anonymous - You are so right. My friends life changed in an instant (accident) and she will never be the same. We must trust and have faith in His care.

Esther - Thank you.
