Pope St. Alexander

Let us prepare for Lent
by reading Scripture.
If you need some ideas,
start with Romans Chapter 12.

"To be ignorant of Scripture is to be ignorant of Christ."
St. Jerome

What a wonderful thing to wake up to this lovely morning! Scriptures are God's love letters for us. God's words always guarantee to bring us joy, peace, and fullness of life! God be praised!

Thank you, dearest Micki.

Well, I'm late home and just about to get ready to sleep, so I'm reading the Scriptures late - but what a nice way to nod off, thank you Micki! And another lovely lacy card - of age?
Best Regards, Lynneda

Easter - What a beautiful thought! "Scriptures are God's love letter for us." The kind of love letter I love!

Lynneda - May I ask where do you live? For the first time I'm seeing it must not be the US. It sounded like you were going to bed in what would be our afternoon.

Regarding the lace card....this one doesn't have a date. My guess is late 1800s though. Thanks again for your comments.

Hi Micki,
At the moment I'm living in Bury St Edmunds, Sufflok, U.K., but I'm hoping to move in the summer back to my beloved Northamptonshire, U.K.
Best Regards, Lynneda

I meant Suffolk - not Sufflok!

Hello Lynneda,
How sweet of you! Cy is much better. Thank you for your prayers!

I meant Suffolk - not Sufflok! (Lynneda, you gave me a giggle
:-) ). I once gave up laughing during Lent. It never worked! :-) I will never do that again. I just have to restrain myself a bit. :-)
Love,
Easter :-)

I'm so glad Cy is feeling better, easter. I keep saying I'm going to give up chocolate and sweets for lent - which would mean laughing would go too.
Every Best Regard, Lynneda

Lynneda - :-)

Easter - I bet you thought that would be sharing in His sorrow. See, He wants us to have joy! I'm glad you'll never do that one again.

Lynneda - Sometimes its more important for the additions not the subtractions. I suppose a little of both is best!
