Agony in the Garden, Sleeping Apostles, Wednesday of the Second Week of Lent

"Christ, ever faithful to the Father's will, strengthen us so that we may not fall into the sleep of indifference and deny you even as you take on the immense burden of our sins, both past, present, and future.
Amen

Pray for all those who have betrayed another, especially for those who have turned against relatives, friends, or neighbors."

A most powerful holycard and the quote from Sheen is something to be read over and over.
Thankyou Micki.

What a beautiful piece or art, Micki, thank you. And isn't it sad to realise just how many people alive on this beautiful earth are sleep walking through indifference? My prayers do go up for all those who have betrayed others - may they one day know that God has already forgiven them, and that they can now forgive themselves too and do better from now on.
Best Regards, Lynneda

I would just like to say that your cards are a place to linger over and I shall bookmark them for further meditation. Kind regards Joanna

Lynneda, beautifully said! I love that you said that God has already forgiven them. YES to that! I join you in your prayers that they will forgive themselves. A priest once said in his homily that those that sinned much and are finally back to God end up having much love for God. Thanks Lynneda!

Thank you as always Micki! Your cards brighten our days.:-)

Hi easter and thanks for your comment. I so pray that those who have betrayed others (or committed sins of any kind) could come to realise that as soon as they understand the wrongs they've done and are truly sorry for them, God is as good as can be at that point and ready to "let them off the hook". It's only themselves who keep themselves living in the misery and regret of what they did for decades to come. I pray that they can at last "Stop", "Make Amends" as best they can and "Do Better" from now on so that no more of anyone's life is wasted.
Best Regards, Lynneda

d.s. - Always happy to find another "Sheen" fan. :-)

Lynneda - Sounds like you could give one heck of a good homily. Thanks.

Joanna - I'm so glad you are finding cards to meditate over. Thank you for commenting also.

Easter - As they say..."to God be the glory."
