IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

I wonder which saint is depicted in the card. (Note the halo.) It could be Our Lady, but it may be more fun to speculate.
Who were some of the female saints and blesseds that died at a very early age? I always think of two: Bl. Jacinta Marto (not quite ten years old when she died in 1920) and Bl. Imelda Lambertini (who was about eleven when she died in 1333).

I agree with Saint Edmund. I will do that today.
God Bless,
John - Interesting thought. I always just pictured that this was a young Mary. I will have to find out more about Bl. Jacinta Marto, I am not familiar with her at all.
Ed - Sounds so easy doesn't it? I mean to pray each prayer with meaning. I have to work on that for sure.
