The Virgin..........November 3

"If you meet the Virgin on the road,
invite her into your house.
She bears the word of God."

St. John of the Cross

French translation -
"King of Holy Patience, teach us to suffer with Thee."

Friends,

I am having a hard time seeing the second (italic-font) line of French words, but I think that this may be a correct translation of the two lines:

"King of Holy Patience, teach us to suffer with Thee."

(I don't remember ever before seeing the boy Jesus depicted wearing a crown of thorns. It's a striking image.)

Hello to you, dear Micki, and welcome back! And hello to our dear brother, John!

"King of Holy Patience, teach us to suffer with Thee."

I recall a time when I was praying before the Blessed Sacrament. I'm usually quiet there before Him, but that time was different. I just had to unload, so I just went on and on... When I have said all that I needed to say, there was a big pause and the Lord said to me, "Find the joy in all of these." I just burst out laughing. Ha ha ha... What a great sense of humor our God has!

So good you're back, dear Micki!

Thanks to all for the friendly "welcome home" messages. I missed you all as you are all part of my "home". :-)

John - "Holy Patience"...wow..that's what I need to pray for.

Easter - What joy you brought me with your telling of your visitation experience. So like you I'm sure. I bet our Lord was laughing with you. I'm still smiling.

Gina - I love your words..."Little King of Holy Patience teach me to suffer all for thee." A prayer I'd like to say more often! Thanks.

Aspiring - Very well said! So much to really put to heart. Certainly much prayer is needed for sure. Thank you also for your compliments.

Ed - Thank you...good to be back.
