Crown Him with many crowns,
The Lamb upon his throne;
All kingdoms of the earth resound
in praise of Him alone.
Awake my soul and sing,
Of Him who died for thee,
And hail Him as thy risen King
For all eternity.
IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

Micki,
What an admirable job you have done to choose a hymn that matches the displayed cards!
Hail, Redeemer, King divine!
John
Two lovely cards in one day! Whatever did we do to deseve this? I know, nothing, it is a divine grace.
And the old hymn is an old favorite.
Beautiful. I always found images of the Christ Child particularly moving. The Incarnation... to think that that Infant is the One who suffered and died for us, and now reigns as King in Heaven. It's truly beyond words.
I have to agree with John! :-) How wonderful to see a familiar soul here. Praise our God who is our King!
Micki, today at church, we sang the Hallelujah Chorus from the Messiah by Handel. I believe we did a great job in singing the song(mostly because we know that song... he he he...). It simply was a glorious song sang on a glorious day fit for our King, Jesus Christ! :-)
Lots of love to you, Micki!
Note to all.
I just typed four wonderful messages to the four commenters above. Oh the words just flowed...then I hit that "magic" key on the keyboard and they all disappeared. Don't you just hate it if and when that happens to you?
So, let me just say. thank you for taking the time to drop a line. Blessings to you all. And prayers for my nasty words said a minute ago.
''Amen''....p,l&r....W.G.
