St. Teresa of Jesus..........October 15

St. Teresa of Avila

"There are more tears shed over answered prayers than over unanswered prayers."

"Whether you have much or have little, the Lord requires everything."

“Christ has no body now but yours.
No hands, no feet on earth but yours.
Yours are the eyes through which He looks
Compassion on this world
Christ has no body now on earth but yours.”

attributed to Saint Teresa of Avila (1515-1582)

Carmelite nun, Doctor of the Church, monastic reformer, mystic, writer

Both the quote and the cards are wonderful. Do keep them coming.

The cards you usually post are usually Franch and from 19th or 20th century. I wonder if you have any access to older cards -- say, from the first century that they were made?

Aspiring - Happy to do my best for your friendship with St. Teresa.
What a wonderful explanation of your emotional involvement. Great!

Irene - You make me laugh. FIRST CENTURY????? Are you kidding. I do great to get cards from the seventeen hundreds.

Kim,
Thank you for taking the time to share your enjoyment of this particular post. I enjoyed many years of posting a daily message with one of my holy cards. To think the site has been inactive for some time and you still found it and enjoy it brings me great pleaasure. Thank you and God bless you and your loved ones.

Have you ever seen these images of St. Teresa in a digital file? I am looking for an image of St. Teresa to celebrate her feast day in October.

Thank you and God bless.
