" Blessed is the servant who loves his brother as much when he is sick and useless
as when he is well and can be of service to him.
And blessed is he who loves his brother as well when he is afar off
as when he is by his side,
and who would say nothing behind his back
he might not, in love,

oops, that link is broken.
Crafty P - Thank you....I think I fixed it.
Micki, Fr. Ed will be giving our pet cat a blessing today.
A Beautiful holy card and the words of inspiration are edifying! May we all learn to imitate St. Francis by becoming "gentle" stewards of God's gifts. We must always have the love of Christ within us, so that anyone we encounter maybe better and know Our Lord more intimately. We need this gentle peacemaker now, when our world has lost its way! A blessed weekend to all! Thank you Micki and hope all is well. John K.
Ed - I'm sure he/she said a grateful "meow" at the end of the blessing. I miss my dog. (See first post that I ever did.)
John K - Oh how right you are...we so desperately need this "gentle peacemaker." When I was in high school, long time ago, we said the Prayer of Peace to St. Francis every day...."Lord, make me an instrument of your peace etc." Probably because it was a school run by Franciscans :-)
