Trees..........August 20

A society grows great
when old men plant trees
whose shade they know
they shall never sit in.

Greek Proverb

Heavenly Father,
We thank you for the blessings
of nature.

What an exquisite card! I also like the quote you chose to accompany it. Yes, we should all be planting trees that will shelter others years from now--and not in the literal sense.

God bless.

You know, I looked and looked at this, thinking it familiar. I figured out why! A similar, but different, one was posted 12/15/07 in another blog. And it so happens that that site is run by your first commenter: He Gently Calls Us. Check it out. Sue E.

Kay - You bring a smile to my face thinking of all of us out there planting trees. It would be a worthy thought though.

FOOL - Oh yes, I do love it because it brings God's Holy Family to my mind.

Sue - Yes, I know there are definitely similar cards and there are also "series" of cards produced so that does happen. Good eye for you.

Wendybirde - Leave it to you find the feeling of gentleness. Hope it has a calming effect on others too.

Os cartões que representam o Menino Jesus ou cenas de sua infância me são muito caros. Obrigado, Micki, por me proporcionar gravuras genuinamente católicas.
