*Give, Give, Give..........May 23

"My God,
You have given me all;
behold the little that I give You.
Give me the strength to give more."

St. John Vianney, Cure D'Ars

Here is the meaning of the Latin words on this German card, which appears to be a remembrance of an ordination ...Above the crown of thorns and cross:"You are a priest forever."Partially hidden under the stole:"Upon this rock"Words from Psalm 116 [115 in some bibles] on the front of the altar:"What return can I make to the Lord? I will take up the chalice of salvation and will call upon the name of the Lord."

Friends,

Here is the meaning of the Latin words on this German card, which appears to be a remembrance of an ordination ...

Above the crown of thorns and cross:
"You are a priest forever."

Partially hidden under the stole:
"Upon this rock"

Words from Psalm 116 [115 in some bibles] on the front of the altar:
"What return can I make to the Lord? I will take up the chalice of salvation and will call upon the name of the Lord."

John

What a beautiful holycard for a priest..also a wonderful card to put in one's prayerbook to remind us to pray for priests each day.

John - Looks like we welcomed you back with a lot of translating. Thank you for adding to the message of this card.

Diane - Great idea D. We certainly see the need for our prayers. Thanks.

Our Priests need all the prayers we can make for them!

diddleymaz - So true. We are already seeing churches combine because of the lack of priests.
