she will think of everything and provide for the needs
of soul and body.
Therefore, be at peace,
be at complete peace,

IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

Friends,
I am guessing (from the absence of a halo) that the nun on the right represents a missionary sister of our times. On the left is St. Therese of Lisieux (note the roses/"little flowers"), who is co-patron saint of the Missions.
Thank you, Micki, for another great card.

John - I love the idea that St. Therese of Lisieux wanted to be a missionary but couldln't because of her health. So, she "adopted" a missionary to pray for and give us the example that we can do that also. Wonderful!
I just love these "cute" Hummel images, and this one is one of my favorites!! Thank you for posting these "cute little Gem" for all to enjoy! A blessed weekend to all! John K.
John K - Thank you. I have always loved Sr. B. Hummel's artwork also.
