When I first started blogging I had no idea what my focus would be. Unlike Chelsey, our standard poodle, who had her focus on keeping us safe from the outside world. That’s why I named the blog The Window Shows it All. I later decided sharing my holy card collection would be my goal and that’s why my computer address is not Holy Cards for Inspiration.

As I almost always do, I looked at the larger version of the card (by clicking on it). The one thing that caught my attention most was this: With her right hand, Our Lady is grasping a stem of a rose bush, despite the thorns, and, with her left hand, she is embracing a lamb (one of us). I take this as a symbol of our need to accept suffering in our lives, as she did. Perhaps you will see it differently.

Adrienne - I like them also. Makes me sad that they can't make them like that any longer. They do have "die-cut" imitations but they are just that, obvious "imitations." :-(

I just saw another possible interpretation of the picture.
Our Lady's right hand may be on the rose bush to indicate that she had just freed the lamb (each of us) from the snares (thorns) of sin, through her intercessory prayers to her Son.
