Hard Lenten Promises..........February 22

"You can't say your Lenten promise
is too hard after looking at this photo."

Where there is no love, put love and
you will find love.

This is a photo that came in an email. It is not my holy card.
It just touched my soul.

We can all take responsibility for what is going on in the picture you posted. Thank you for yet another reminder of our sinfulnes.

LOVE OF NEIGHBOUR

Dear children, Today, with my motherly heart, I call you gathered around me to love your neighbour. My children, stop. Look in the eyes of your brother and see Jesus, my Son. If you see joy, rejoice with him. If there is pain in the eyes of your brother, with your tenderness and goodness, cast it away, because without love you are lost. Only love is effective; it works miracles. Love will give you unity in my Son and the victory of my heart. Therefore, my children, love. Our Lady's Medjugorje message, September 2, 2008

I have seen this picture before, but by a different artist. Nonetheless it is a very moving picture that touches the human soul, and makes one aware of our nothingness and the depths of Jesus love for each and everyone of us, His Children! John K.

Anonymous - Yes, we are responsible, our sins put Him there.

ca.snflwr - I agree.

diddleymaz - What a warming thought. We do have an awesome God.

Ed Sousa,Sr.- Another beautiful message.

John K - Our "nothingness" and His "depth" such a visual. Thanks.

Our love for Christ is so small in return for His love for us which is so great. Thanks for the visual reminder, Roz
