Micki I have a large colour print of this wonderful work of art in my living room, I bought it at The Metropolitan Cathedral in London. I love pre-raphaelite art and this picture of the Adoration of the Magi is so thought provoking.

I agree with you that it's a beautiful work, which I encourage visitors to double-click on (to magnify it).

Do you know who painted it?
I have to think that it was a non-Catholic, since none of the people (not even Jesus) is shown with a halo.

Its by Sir Edward Burne-Jones one of the greatest of the pre-raphaelites. The figures all have delicate filigree halos in the original but have not been copied on this black and white print.I will post a pic on my blog for comparison.

diddleymaz - Isn't that great! I didn't know it was a famous piece of art. I'd love to see it in color, I bet it's stunning.
