IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P
"Behold, my God,
I come to adore You,
to praise, thank, and love You,
and to keep You company with all the angels."

Let's see ...
We have St. Joseph and the B.V.M. on the left, but ...
Who are the saints on the right?
Hard to say. Perhaps they are two of Jesus's original disciples or two saints noted for devotion to the Blessed Sacrament?
Are they named on the back of the card, Micki?
John
What is the reply to the question from anonymous???

I'm pretty sure that the man on the right is OLJC. Not sure at all about the woman.
John - There are no names on the card. It looks like Jesus and some holy woman. My "saint expert" friend couldn't say who she was either....another "artists choice" I guess.
Anonymous - I guess there is no positive answer.
BillyD - I think you are right. Thanks for your thought.
I'm wondering if they might be Joachim and Anna.
Anonymous - Your guess is as good as any other. I don't think there is enough visual clues to really know for sure. Thanks.
