"Pray for the many spiritual and material needs
of your families, your communities,
the whole Church,
and all of humanity.
Indeed,
prayer is the first and greatest work of charity
that we must do for our brothers and sisters."
Pope John Paul II

What a wonder full message is Advent!! and a worthy prayer from our beloved Holy Father John Paul, what a loving advocate he is for his people now his prayers are in Heaven, pray for my intentions please, that our housing problem gets sorted soon!and my nephew about to ship out to Afghanistan and another nephew who is a chaplain with the RAF helping the families at the repatriation of their loved ones remains.Thank you
I was admiring the image, too, and I figured it was just a woman praying ... but diddleymaz, you are right that it looks a lot like St. Bernadette. At any rate, it's a lovely picture to look at on this first day of December!
waiting on the Lord, praying for that miracle that always comes to us, year after year, day after day! Happy Advent.
diddleymaz - Funny you pointed that out....I thought it was Mary with the halo surrounding her head.
A prayer goes out to St. Joseph for your housing situation.
Ginny - In the words of Yul Brenner in the movie "The King and I".............."it's a puzzlement".
(Maybe you are too young to remember that film :-)
Ginny - I love your words...I might have to use them in an upcoming post....is that ok?
Micki, did you mean to say Gardenia (or am I being presumptuous? Yes, you may use them.
Gardenia - Yes, I'm sorry for mixing up the names. Thank you, I truly love what you said and I think it would make a great quote for some Advent post.
