*First Communion Weekend..........May 9

For ALL First Communicants during this
month of May.

as Jesus comes into your heart in such a special way.
I prayed that as you take the host and
bow your head in prayer,
you'll feel His love inside you and know His tender care.
I asked that every moment be blessed
with friends and laughter,
And that you'll know true happiness--today
and ever after.

  5. Micki... congrats on taking the lead in the Visual Treat category. If I have to lose my crown to anyone, I'd rather it be you.

I went to friend's son's first holy communion and it was a beautiful mass.

I went looking for some holy cards like this but they don't seem to make them anymore, nor the beautiful certificated that hang on the walls of my house that my gran and her brother received in the 30's. Shame really.

Great blog. Keep up the fabulous work

  6. Diane - Your very welcomed. I'm sure you have been part of many First Communions in your beautiful family. What a blessing.

diddleymaz - You did a wonderful job. I bet the day was special for all the Communicants. I also thought the tabernacle looked unusual. Is that a cloth over the tabernacle? Charming.

Prayerflowers - Hi dear unseen angel. I'm sorry you had a bad week... I can only say that I'm always keeping you in prayer.
I'm glad you enjoyed the cards for today....as someone else said earlier, I wish they still made them like they used to. You could take a photo of your granddaughter and with your art talent you should turn it into a holy card???
If so, send me a copy :-)

Cheryl - Thank you for your kind words. It's my pleasure to share and I only hope that it moves people to prayer.

  7. Thankyou for these cards - a lovely idea, I need one for a friend's son who's about to make a novena prior to his First Holy Communion, and I thought it would be nice to get him a picture with a boy on it.
    God Bless you.
    Elizabeth.

  8. Elizabeth - So happy you found the "boy" card for your friend's son. It's amazing the difference in First Communion cards over the decades.
