Jesus is Nailed to the Cross
"I have no more strength than a few drops of water.
All my bones are out of joint;
my heart is like melted wax.
My strength has dried up like a broken clay pot,
and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth." (Psalm 22:14)
You forgave Your enemies.
Teach me to forgive injuries and FORGET them.
Sweet Micki,
ReplyDeleteThank you for leading us into beautiful prayers every morning.
God bless you,

The gazes of two men are focused on each other -- that of Jesus and that of the centurion, who was to become St. Longinus after piercing Our Lord with a lance and then acknowledging His divinity.
ReplyDeleteJohn
Prayerflowers - I also enjoy knowing that I'm praying with all of you who read the words/prayers printed for the day. "Where two or three are gathered..........." Thank you.
ReplyDeleteJohn - St. Longinus is such a wonderful model for us. To know we can do wrong and still come back and see the right path to take.
What a savior we have.
A couple days ago, I was thinking about some people I had known in the past, and I knew that I had been very anxious about them. Thinking of them had made me nervous and sick, and sometimes, even enraged.
ReplyDeleteBut I noticed that when I thought about them a couple of days ago, it was like I suddenly had "emotional amnesia" - I couldn't, for the life of me, remember why I had been angry, hurt, or why we were no longer friends - nor could I remember the pain that I had been afflicted with so long from these memories.
I didn't realize until I saw the prayer at the bottom that this was such a meaningful grace. And I never thought it was possible before it actually happened to me.
