IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P
What an inspiring portrayal of the Good Shepherd! I am going to be sending a copy of this to a daughter-in -law of mine who lost her way and is now coming back to her senses.
What a Gentle picture of the Good Shepherd, and the text is beautiful as well. May the Good Shepherd hold each of us and all those that we hold dear near His Sacred Heart and hold us until we get to Heaven! Especially those who have lost their way, like my sister. I would like to ask everyone who visits your blog to keep her in your prayers; she is addicted to "crack cocaine" and it is destroying her life and soul. I pray that she will respond to the Good Shepherd's call to His saving love! John K.
Lord, You are the Good Shepherd, we paray and ask you today to find and bring back all our children and family members who have lost there way, and are away from you.
Oh, Micki...how precious is this card. My prayers for all who view your site and all our loved ones who have strayed from our Good Shepherd's loving arms. ~Freda~
I like this one the best because it the most looks like Him of all the Good Shepherd pictures and shows His personality, and me on His shoulders. I am glad He gave everybody pictures of His Holy Face. This one is not a miracle picture but is a real good painting. I'm glad I seen His mom, too, and became a Catholic and she came and got me away from Satan. She is a nice little lady, but I am very jealous of her.
Fig Tree - Thank you for sharing your thoughts/feelings with us. You have been through a very troubling time. I can only tell you that I am happy to hear that somehow, you have found Christ and His wonderful Mother. I pray you can be helped to find reading material that will continue to help you in your new walk with Jesus. He is keeping you under His protection and love. God bless.
