"Mary is my great treasure.
She is my All after Jesus
She is my honor, my tenderness, and the storehouse of my virtues!
I do everything in and through her."
St. Louis Grignion de Montfort

Friends,
ReplyDeleteI believe that the French words mean this ...
In Our Lady's halo: "Fear nothing."
At the bottom: "The Pilgrim. 'O Mary, I will walk with confidence under your protection.'"
John
Mary, Daughter of the Father
ReplyDeleteMary, Spouse of the Holy Spirit
Mary, Mother of Jesus
Pray for us
Thankyou, Micki, for this beautiful holy card and thankyou, John, for the translation.....we must all take the "Fear nothing" to heart in this time we are in were the stakes between the U.S. and Russia are escalating and our economy is going south. When we are ever in the hearts of Jesus and Mary we are truly safe, even when everywhere around us seems to be falling apart. (Am I a cynic?)

John - A real treat to add your translations to the main page. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteEd - I always love thinking of Mary as "daughter, spouse, mother". Also neighbor, cousin, friend and queen.
Diane - No, your no cynic...just an observer of the times. But we must also remember words said most often in the bible "be not afraid". Time to put our trust in Him.
I love the doily style cards. This is absolutely breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteNan - I'm glad you enjoy this card. We call them "lace" cards because they do resemble lace. I sure wish they still made them today...most are from the late
