IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

Jesus Meets the Women on the Way to Calvary, Monday of the Fourth Week of Lent
Again, marvellous imagery and attention to detail, Micki - perhaps that's how these artists are so able to infuse the depth and expression of feeling they do into their lovely pictures? Many Thanks to you, Best Regards, Lynneda
I should never complain about being too busy and ought to learn from this example of Jesus - even as He carried the cross to His death, he stopped to minister to the women. He was not "too busy" even amidst His torture
wonderful..

Jackie - Blessings to you.
ReplyDeleteLynneda - All I can say is thank you to the artists who give us these images to reflect upon.

ReplyDeleteSanctus Belle - I agree with you, it's a shame that I too am usually "too busy."
