IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P
Micki, A few days late with heartfelt wishes for our Lords birth, "CHRISTmas' i was away from my home. It leaves me in awe to see your postings and how you so willingly run your household, care for your family and all else you do and still have time for us folk . THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU ! I look forward to starting off my day with you and everyone else here.May God keep blessing you always in all ways. snflwr
I so often think what it would have been like to live at the time Christ was born or walked the earth! Would I have opened the door and made room for Mary and Joseph when they were looking for a place for Mary to give birth? Your post provides me with today's meditation! And the picture is lovely! Thank you and God bless you!
snflwr - Welcome back to your home. It's fun to go off visiting but always a joy to come back home. You are welcome and I'm so glad to hear you start your day here...next time please bring a cup of coffee to share (or tea if you prefer).
Mary Lou - Thank you for sharing your meditation thought. It's good food for all of us. I appreciate your thoughts.
Anonymous - So glad you enjoy it...I am partial to what looks like jewels at the top of the card....nothing too good for Him.
Gardenia - Yes, and such a sad thought when thinking of those precious children...to die for Jesus makes them all martyrs and God surely welcomed them with open arms...even though heaven was "officially opened." He truly took special care of them.
Dear Micki: I am sorry to read about your brothers wife passing away. I will keep him and your family in my prayers, as well for the repose of your sister in laws soul. Thank you for posting all of these beautiful images over the past few days, so inspiring. God Bless you and yours! John K.
