Friends,
I believe that the French text means this:
"~~~~ The Meditation of St. Joseph ~~~~
In his moments of pious relaxation, Joseph contemplated and adored Jesus! ... and the Angels came to finish his work ..."
John
I LOVE this holy card!!! I was immediately drawn to the way Jesus and St Joseph are looking at each other while Our Lady looks on. It is the perfect image of contemplation... "I look at Him, and He looks at me." Is this not what we experience in Eucharistic adoration?
It's a truly beautiful card! I love the way the angels are toiling on Joseph's behalf, Micki. What a lovely and understanding man St Joseph must have been, even on the most mundane level. Not an easy task to have taken on.
Best Regards, Lynneda
The holy card is exquisite and thankyou for your
holy insight, Fr. Bailey--I will be thinking about this
throughout the day.

John - It makes sense that Jesus and Joseph would be connecting. I love the idea of the angels doing Joseph's work.
Fr. Scott - Thank you for your first post here. I do like your point about the perfect contemplation. So true.
Lynneda - Don't we all wish our angels would do our work while we adore?
D.S. I am thinking of it also.
thankyou for that..
