John the Baptist and Jesus were killed by those who did not recognize who they truly were. Make an effort to see Christ in all you meet today and to be Christ to those who need your help.

IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

Micki, I thought this was a photograph for a minute, it's so detailed and realistic! Fantastic. And I love those words, "This is my Beloved Son,...". Oooooo, the love just oozes out of them.
Best Regards, Lynneda
John the Baptist is one of my favorite Saints.
He is the the voice of one crying in the dessert. Our Lady's first appearance in Medjugorje was on the feast day of John the Baptist on June 24, 1981.
Today it is the voice of Our Lady that is crying in the dessert calling her children back to her son Jesus.
Lynneda - I love how you excite me over the words. Thanks.
Ed - Mine too, I have a son named John. I didn't know that about Mary's first apparition on this feast date. Yes, she is definitely still calling....Thank you Mary.
