Call on Christ...............September 22

"I will remember how St. Peter,
at a blast of wind, began to sink because
of his lack of faith,
and I will do as he did:
Call upon Christ and pray to him for help.
And then I trust he will place his holy hand on me and in the stormy seas
hold me up from drowning."

St. Thomas More

German words mean, "Rescued by God the Savior."

  1. Sweet Micki,
Awesome quote from St. Thomas More. Love the Holy Card of Jesus grabbing hold of St. Peter. Do you know what the card reads?
    Love & hugs,

  5. Dear Prayerflowers and other friends,

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that the German words mean, "Rescued by God the Savior."

I hope that someone can confirm this.

  6. Prayerflowers - Hi. So glad you like St. Thomas More's quote. I do too. Hope Jesus will "grab" us too if we are sinking.
Sorry, I don't know the meaning of the words....where is John?

Michele - Glad to picture your words "Jesus holds us up." I sure need it often.

Cheryl - Glad you like the colors...they do stand out don't they?

  7. John - This is funny...when I left my earlier message I didn't see your comment. Thanks for giving us the translation.....as for me, I'm sure that's what it means because I have absolutely no idea but I trust your knowledge. Thank you.
