IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

Diane S and Lisa - Thank you for appreciating the quote. Sometimes the quotes just seem to perfectly match the holy card. I do spend a lot of time trying to find just the right one. Sometimes they are "right on" and other times they just are quotes. Glad you notice them though.
a simple, comprehensive way of humility - what St. Louis Marie de Montfort terms " a little known secret of grace enabling us to quickly and with but little effort to empty ourselves of self, fill ourselves with God and become perfect". taken from Legon of Mary Handbook p. 30 on Mary's Humility by St. Louis Marie de Montfort
