Read about St. Benedict

The Latin words on the book held by the saint mean, "Holy Rule" -- a reference to the series of regulations written by St. Benedict to guide his monks in their shared life of work and prayer. The Benedictine motto is, "Ora et Labora" (Pray and Work).
