IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P
Just curious that Saint Catherine of Siena told that - she kept eternal silence on the last years of her life, talking only to her confessor in a few times.

ReplyDeleteMeldelen - Don't you think that maybe what she meant was silence in not speaking up for the abused, poor, those being persecuted?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that living as St. Catherine did, she was keeping silence as sacrifice for the gossipers, the name slayers, the useless informers of trash.
Yes of course, I agree with that.
ReplyDeleteIs that a paper cutting? Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love silouhettes (and I fear I did not spell that correctly) ...
Ginny - The holy card is simply a black and white card. Love paper-cut-outs also...aren't they called scherenschnittes? What a talent those are.
