IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

*Hidden Angels of Baptism..........May 7
If we beheld a soul after Baptism with the eyes of faith,
That's a beautiful thought. As I read the text, I was picturing the innocence of a small child surrounded by angels. That moment must be so pleasing to God!
paramedicgirl - Yes, I agree, a wonderful site to behold. I guess een us adults don't take the time to think how angels are probably surrounding us when we return from communion etc. I remember hearing we should never feel alone because we always have angels with us :-)
Micki -- I just love this card AND the verse -- I'm a HUGE believer in Guardian Angels and their presence in all of our lives -- and I especially think they "dance" when a child is "brought" to the Lord through Baptism. Joanne
Joanne - Do you know you are my longest since last seen, friend? I think our angels are rejoicing via "air mail" that we are "together" again. Yes, I believe in angels and feel sad for those who don't believe :-)
What a beutiful card! I am flower arranging for our churchs First Holy Communion this weekend, could you do a suitable card please Micki???
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - Check on Saturday's post.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - Thank you for enjoying the cards. Always hope they bring inspiration for prayer.

ReplyDeleteInteresting.
ReplyDeleteCould you point me in the way of some scripture passages that speak of "guardian angels" and their function in relation to protecting us?
Anonymous - If you go to "Google" (www.google.com) and type in "Guardian Angel Scripture" you will get lots of sites to visit. Hope this helps.
