"When you feel the assaults
of passion and anger,
then is the time to be silent
as Jesus was silent in
the midst of His ignominies and sufferings."
St. Paul of the Cross
Translation of the card's Latin words:
[On the banner (below the shield showing the wounded hands of Jesus and St. Francis of Assisi):]
"Far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ" [Galatians 6:14]
[At the bottom:]
"The Seraphic Triumph"

the rosary-like sorrounding the shield is the Franciscan Crown(or Seraphic Rosary) --- a chaplet prayed by the franciscans in honor of the 7 joys of Mary.
ReplyDeleteJet - I loved reading your information regarding the rosary of the seven joys of Mary. Thank you.
