IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

*Thy Cup to Drink............March 12
"My father, if this cup cannot pass away unless I drink it, Thy will be done."
O Jesus, let me help you drink of the cup by my Lenten sacrifices. I see your courage and I continue with you on the Way of the Cross.
Thankyou, Micki, for the treasured holy card and prayer. In these times we are facing, we must embrace God's Will--the suffering can be so intense through unemployment, loss of house or loss of income....let us pray in a special way for all those who are going through this right now. He will bring greater good out of all of this, even though it is so hard to see when going through it.
Dear Sweet Micki, Thank you for this beautiful picture. I missed a few days and I see I missed some very precious holy cards. Did you write the quote I love it it fits perfect with the card and how I know we are all feeling. May God's perfect love bless us...Amen Love & Hugs, Prayerflowers
It is good for us to note that Jesus prayed to His Father for the Cup to be taken from Him, and the prayer was not heard or, more correctly, the answer was, "no." Even Jesus received a "no" to His prayers sometimes. Why should we also not receive "no" as an answer?
Anontymous - You are so right. I will join you in lifting up prayers for our suffering unemployed, home losers and all income loss. It is hard to wait for the "greater good" that He WILL bring. Hugs dear friend.
Prayerflowers - Thank you for all your sweet words. This season of Lent is a most difficult one for so many....those crosses we help carry are getting heavier every day. Angels flying across the US to you :-)
Fr. Scott - You are so right to remind us of the "no" that we might be hearing right now. Thank you for that.
