*Know what He has done..........March 22

"The piercing nail has become a key to unlock the door, that I may see the good will of the Lord. And what can I see as I look through the hole? Both the nail and the wound cry out that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself...Through these sacred wounds we can see the secret of His heart, the great mystery of love."

St. Bernard of Clairvaux

Translation of the French words:
At the top:
"The Cross -- or the virginal bed of the child of Mary."

At the bottom:
"Remembrance of his (her) sojourn upon the Earth and of her departure for Heaven!"

  1. Micki,
I'm not sure, but I think that this is a funeral card, perhaps for a child or for a religious sister (?), based on the words, which seem a bit unusual.

  5. What a powerful card and quote. I am ever amazed at you Micki, the way you match such moving thoughts that always gives one pause while looking at the card. I love this site and would never miss a day checking in. Know although I don't comment often I am always here. God bless you for giving us that pause everyday to think about our God and His holy Saints.
Thanks in the Three most loving Hearts.
PS I have trouble seeing (not you my eyes) the cards sometime and so I like when I click on them they become larger and I study them. This one does not do that, is it me or you? Just checking. Thanks

  7. John - Great translation once again. I don't think it would be a memorial card for a child though. Probably a religious sister based on words "child of Mary". I suppose it can mean whatever anyone wants :-)

~~JennD.'J.M.J.'~* - Welcome to a new commenter. Happy you left a few words. I'm not sure where I got this particular card....I've been collecting for way too many years. Glad you like it.

Anonymous - And may He also bless you who keep me going by visiting. I hope you are inspired and coming here draws you closer to Him.

Diane - Hello good friend. Yes, St. Bernard always has something good to offer doesn't he?

LoveStJoseph - I love when you comment. Today I particularly like your "three most loving hearts".....now thats a deep thought....not sure who the 3rd heart is...(maybe Joseph :-).....)
I hope my fix get the card to go big again. Let me know if it doesn't ok?

Kelly - Thank you....I'm blessed to have collected so many.

Freda - I'm so glad you also see it as a "ministry." There are so many "foreign" friends who stop by daily.....I pray we can all pray for each other and our countries.
