*Be Ready....................February 23

"A man must always be ready,
for death comes when and where
God wills it."

St. John Nepomucen Neumann

(At the top:)
"CHRISTIAN TEARS"
(At the bottom:)
"I believe, Lord, that Thou art the Resurrection and the Life ... and that he who believes in Thee will live, even if he should die ... and that whoever believes in Thee will not die forever ... . Yes, Lord, like Martha and Mary, the sisters of Lazarus, I believe this, and, like them, I confess, by shedding tears over this beloved grave, that Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God, Who has come into this world to save us and to provide a glorious Resurrection."

  1. Friends,

Here is the meaning of the card's French words:

  4. I ended up on your page by searching for "Prayer cards". If I download any of them, I will print them out to place 3"x5" or 4"x6" photo albums, as I am making some personal prayer books for myself. I want to place little prayer books in various rooms of my home for easy access, and keep one in my purse for use while waiting for doctor's appointments of other situations where I find myself with time on my hands. I'm sure I'll end up passing some of these on to friends and family members. Last week, my sister dropped her kids off for me to babysit while she went for a treatment on her eyes. She has developed a big blindspot in her right eye. I gave her the one little prayer book I had completed to take with her for comfort as she awaited her treatment. Besides having lovely pictures such as yours, and scripture and prayer, my little illustrated books have the words in larger print, so she would have less trouble focusing on them, since her blind spot is quite a distraction to her while reading. Her name is Jeanne. PLEASE pray for her.

I also make bookmarks with them, for myself and to share with friends.

The creative activity of making the prayer books and bookmarks is great for stress release, as well, and I absorb the prayers and scriptures both as I create and as I use the beautiful prayer cards.

I just want you to know how I will be using some of the lovely cards you have posted. Thank you so much for sharing them!

  5. Ally - Woops....the snow is gone now. Let's see...it's February....wait, I'm sure we will get more :-)

Robyn - Thank you for sharing what you do to bring comfort to others with your making of prayer books. How wonderful to know the cards are going to be enjoyed with hearts and souls lifted in prayer. I will keep your dear sister in prayer also. I'm glad you found us and hope you continue to "pray" with the cards. Welcome.
