As we fix our attention on Jesus
and the manger this Advent,
let's also turn our gaze
to the final home
He has prepared for us
and the manger this Advent,
let's also turn our gaze
to the final home
He has prepared for us
--heaven.
French Translation:
"O Humble Maidservant of the Lord, your sacrifice begins with your joy. Sweet Jesus is born to you, but He is in poverty and destitution."
Friends,
ReplyDeleteThe French words on this card have the following meaning:
"O Humble Maidservant of the Lord, your sacrifice begins with your joy. Sweet Jesus is born to you, but He is in poverty and destitution."
Micki, the "Bl. Jacinta Marto" whom I mentioned yesterday was the youngest of the three shepherd children at Fatima, when Our Lady appeared there in 1917.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful holy card and text that is posted today! Not just during Advent, but everyday we should be preparing our hearts to welcome Jesus the Saviour! As we continue to seek the Father's divine will and allow Him to gently form us to His designs. Our True Destiny is in Heaven, not the "false happiness" that the devil promises. Dear Jesus teach me to have a humble heart so that I may become more like you and share you with a hurting world. A blessed day to all, esp. Aspiring, who also inspired me today with such a touching message. May Jesus and the Blessed Virgin be our Joy during this Advent! John K.
ReplyDeleteJohn - Thank you for your translation, always appreciated by all.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, now I know who "Jacinta" is. I just didn't know her last name. Thank you for that information.
Aspiring - Good to meet you here again. If this blogging business inspired you to start your blog I'm delighted. You should have a blog. You are filled with great wisdom and words to share. Thank you for your encouragement to me.
John K. - You are right that the message should be for all time not just Advent. I just try to find some special words/quotes that are appropriate for Advent. Thanks.
Aspiring - I forgot to say that I'm sorry you are not always seeing the holy card on the daily post. I can't imagine why not!
ReplyDeleteI did hear from another viewer who wanted to remind me to light the third candle on the sidebar Advent wreath. It was lighted on my computer but not his. He then let me know that he was using "Firefox" and when he tried another operation (I'm not sure what the right word here is) but anyway, then it showed that the 3 candles were burning. So, maybe your problem is with your computer?????
