IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P
When I pointed out the missing St. Joseph to my daughter she said "he was probably taking the picture." She also thought the child Jesus needed a larger bed. Leave it to the little ones.
Even though St. Joseph's face is not visible, I enjoy experiencing him vicariously in the presence of his tools, on the left side of the picture.

ReplyDeleteJohn - How wonderful to be pointed to the presence of the unseen Joseph. A great addition to the holy card. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteDiane - Your presence, made known to me by a comment, is always so welcomed. We'll talk soon.
Anonymous - How sweet to share with your daughter and how touching are her words....through the eyes of children, what a gift.
Thanks for sharing.
