SAINT MARGARET MARY ALACOQUE
Sorry to say that I made a mistake in posting St. Margaret Mary Alacoque a few days too early. Today, Thursday, October 16th is her feast day. Please scroll down to the 13th for the post that should have been here today. Sorry about that.
Meanwhile, I will still post St. Gerard. I wonder if there are any women out there in blogdom who want to have a child. If so, please pay special attention to dear St. Gerard.
Thank you,
Micki

Prayer to St. Gerard
Patron of Motherhood
O good St. Gerard powerful intercessor before God and wonder-worker of our day; I call upon thee and seek thy aid. Thou who on earth didst always fulfill God's design help me to do the Holy Will of God. Beseech the Master of Life, from whom all paternity proceedeth to render me fruitful in offspring, that I may raise up children to God in this life and heirs to the Kingdom of His glory in the world to come. Amen
Dear Micki,
ReplyDeleteI believe that my mother had a difficult and dangerous pregnancy and delivery involving one of my brothers. With through the intercession of St. GM, however, both of them survived, and my parents named my brother "Gerard." You are very blessed to have that relic.
Please pray for my brother and his family now, however, because they have fallen away from the true Church.

I meant to add that, if you had reserved St. MMA for today, I wouldn't have had this good opportunity to request prayers for my brother and his family, especially for his daughter, who never had a chance to make her First Holy Communion. God let you make a "mistake" for a reason, Micki.

Wow! That's your own personal relic! Where did you get your own relic?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - I was so touched to read your words about St. Gerard aiding your mother and brother. It is a story told by oh so many people. I also have three nephews who all have the middle name of Gerard in his honor.
ReplyDeleteI will most certainly pray along with everyone else that your brother and his family will be able to see our good Lord with His arms outstretched awaiting his return to the fold. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Aspiring - Thank you for also saying that my "mistake" had a reason. I think the poster above certainly shows a very good personal reason. Glad you saw it that way too.
Marie - Hey, this is so nice. I've never had a hug from Australia. Feels good! Thank you so much.
Tara - I received it from a religious sister/nun. I am truly blessed to have it.
I think it was from the CSSR. Any authenticating docs...
