Pay honor to God in His Home (the Church),
in His Garden (which is Nature)
and in His Family, (which is our fellowmen).

IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

Beautiful card, beautiful sentiment.
If we could do those things, we would be not far from heaven.
Aspiring - So glad you get your food for meditation on some of these quotes. He provides in so many ways.
Irene - Thank you. We might not "do those things" but as long as we keep on trying.
Hmmm, who is in this one? Is that Mary and Jesus? If that's Mary, she's very unique...looks more like another saint to me but no idea which one.
Hi Sanctus Belle. I believe it is Mary and Jesus because of the artist painting a halo around the heads of both. Yes, a little unusual but I love the woodsy-nature atmosphere of the card.
