IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

Charity..........September 10
"The bread in your box belongs to the hungry;
the cloak in your closet belongs to the naked;
the shoes you do not wear belong to the barefoot;
the money in your vault belongs to the destitute....."
Yes! I must agree with the comments of the first person. We must be good stewards in the gifts God has given us, after all everything is passing and the only things that matters is that we have lived a life in accordance to the will of God! We live in such a materialistic society that has lost sight and understanding of helping those who have less. We must remember the words of Our Lord, when He said, "when you help the least of your breathern you are helping me." Jesus in the disguise of the less fortunate. Let each of us empty ourselves of all the clutter in our lives and be filled with Jesus our Joy! Thank you Micki for your wonderful Apostlate of Truth, inspiration etc. you are touching many lives! Aspiringfool and John K. - Thank you both for your very well written comments. It's so nice to hear what you are thinking. I thought it was just a simple statement of charity. Thanks for both your offerings.

ReplyDeleteAdrienne - I'm so happy you like the quote. I was so excited when I found it because I thought it was so "to the point" of Christianity. Thanks.
