IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P
Miki - I LOVE your site! I pop in every now and again. Where do you find all of these beautiful cards & images? Truly an inspiration to prayer! Especially the antique images - they were crafted with much love and patience to invoke Catholic sentiment. the "baseball Jesus" type cards do not provide that. Sheesh! Thank you for these. God Bless you! Adrienne
Hi Micki, I love this picture and the saying by St. Rose of Lima. Reading her words gave me a great sense of peace. We know in our hearts that God is with us through all suffering but to be reminded of His grace in this is a blessing. Love, Prayerflowers
I have a friend that lives in the Philippines and St. Rose is the patron saint of Latin America and the Philippines. I wanted to send her a prayer for St. Rose. This helped. Even as a 12 year old girl, I understood this site very well.
Faustina - I am so impressed that you were able to find your way around the blog. I'm curious how you even found the holy card blog. What a sweet person you are to share this prayer with your friend. God bless you and I hope we hear from you again.
