IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

*The Good Shepherd..........April 13
"It takes some of us a lifetime
to learn that Christ, our Good Shepherd,
knows exactly what He is doing with us. He understands us perfectly."
John - Never saw him depicted as a vulture before...yikes!
Prayerflowers - Always pleased when others are happy to see a different piece of artwork. I like this one because you have to really stare at it to take it all in. Thank you.
Fr. Scott - "thorney briars of sin" wow...you really put a beautiful thought to this picture. I love it. Thanks.
Is that the devil (vulture) at the upper right? I think so.
ReplyDeleteHe is vanquished by the Good Shepherd.
John
Micky,
ReplyDeleteThank you for this precious picture of Jesus the Good Sheperd.
Love,
Prayerflowers
No matter how badly we are ensnared in the thorney briars of sin Our Lord will patiently free us and heal our wounds if we but let him.
