IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

Three Tests, Easter Thursday 27th
THREE TESTS
"When I want to speak let me think first. Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary? If not, let it be left unsaid."
This holy card this morning is not only so, so beautiful but the prayer with it is just perfect and the perfect advice--so many sorrows are brought on by harsh words or gossip. Thankyou, Micki, for sharing this treasure!
Hello to our dearest Micki, I agree to what d.s. said. This is a good advice, indeed! As the word of God is a two-edged sword that penetrates to our very being, so can our words with whom we speak. It is always good to hear words that build, not those ones that destroy. We aim to build the Body of Christ. I will copy that wonderful quote that comes with the beautiful Holy Card.
D.S. - Thank you for your words of "harsh words or gossip." Something we all must continue to have upper-most in our thoughts...just too easy to do and too hard to recognize at times.
Easter - Love the "two-edged sword" being used in both examples.
Ed - Always happy when you also appreciate the words of some great writer. :-)
