IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P
I love the way Mary is having to hold back her little scamp, Micki, keen to get out into the world from his start. And the wonderful "glow" the artist has given to this card. Beautiful. Best Regards, Lynneda.
I love this card! It reminds me of when I had little ones. Mary continues to inspire me to love my children, to make Christ in them grow as they are growing, to hold them with the love that comes from the Father so they will recognize the Father's love and know him as a wonderful and loving Father, etc. God be praised for Mary, she who loved Jesus the way a mother should! Mary, pray for all mothers!
Thank you for your prayers, Micki, Lynneda and John! I thought we were over it, but now, Cy, my 16 year old baby's got it. Again, thanks for your prayers!
A Blessed and Joyful Monday to all! :-) Love, Easter:-)
Thank you Micki, This picture and your quote from Mother Teresa really touch me today...I was needing to hear and see them both. God bless you for your ministry, Prayerflowers
