IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

Implements of Crucifixion, Monday of the Second Week of Lent
Suffering is not the last word in the Christian life.
This card is similar to one you posted before, Micki, although not so intricate (That last card remains the most complex holy card I've ever seen!). But this is another that needs "work" to piece it together, and isn't nearly as simplistic as it appears. Fabulous, thank you. Best Regards, Lynneda
Thank you ALL for your comments. It brings such joy to read what you all can add to our meditation and pleasure in the talents of the artists and the writers, be they saints or friends.
Wonderful...
ReplyDeleteThis holy card is a meditation piece--each detail is something to ponder. Thankyou Micki.

Is this the one to which you were referring, Lynneda?

"After having shared in the Passion of the Savior, we shall also share in His glory."
ReplyDeleteAmen to the ultimate promise of God for each one of us!
Thank you as always, Micki! :-)
Yes, John, that is the one. Mind boggling, although when I first looked at it, it seemed that just a glance would do!
