IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P
Micki, this is lovely (though painful!). I love the stations of the cross and in the town I was born in (Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, UK) we have one of the most fabulous "sets" of the stations of the cross I've ever seen (although the set in Daventry's St. Mary's comes a close second).
Oh Micki, dearest, this is perfect for your question on your previous post "Do we do it alone?" "Am I my brother's keeper?" Oh so good to meditate on this Lent! Thank you, sweet lady!
Lynneda, hello Dear One! :-) So sorry, I meant for you to send me an email so I can send you this wonderful Lenten activity we do almost every year. easter4g@yahoo.com. Looking forward to hearing from you.:-)
Lynneda - I wish they were made public to see..does the church have a website?
Maryellen - That's the reason they are here...to share so all may be inspired. Thank you for "playing it forward."
Easter - I love the idea that we are never alone. With our patron saint, our guardian angel, the entire Holy Family, and the Trinity itself, there is no time to be "alone." And I'm grateful for all their company :-)
Micki, I don't think our church does have a website, but I'm here in Leamington Spa staying with my parents for the half term break (which is why I haven't been posting and why this is being tagged on!). I have very limited access to the net here, but I'll catch up when I get home.
Easter, I sent an email through the address given on your site. Did it not get through? I'll have to try you again when I get back to Bury St Edmunds.

ReplyDeleteBest Regards, Lynneda.
Thank you for sharing your marvelous collection of Holy Cards.
ReplyDeleteI'm using the Lenten cards on my newest blog, The On-going Conversion.

If that isn't okay with you, please let me know. I have linked the posts to your site.
God Bless you,
Maryellen
